Description

Why Trademark Hearing?

When a Trademark is objected by the Examiner a reply is required to be filed to the same by the applicant. In case the Examiner is not satisfied with the reply submitted by the applicant in response to the Examination report the mark is issued for show cause hearing.

Similarly if a Trademark Application is published in the trademark journal and is opposed by public a reply to the same has to be filed by the applicant with the Trademark Department. If the Examiner is of the opinion that the parties to the Opposition shall be provided a reasonable opportunity of being heard, the mark can be issued for show cause hearing.
